Straw - plum (18 cm)
Description
The Strå - plum (18 cm) is a hand-thrown stoneware bowl with a deep brown glaze and a hand-carved pattern inspired by reeds and straw along the waterline.
The surface is hand-carved before glazing. The glaze settles into the grooves and highlights the texture, giving the bowl a lively interplay on the surface where the light hits.
The bowl has a calm and solid shape that is suitable for breakfast, soup, salad, or small servings.
All bowls are made one by one in my ceramics studio. Small variations in glaze, color, and surface are a natural part of the craftsmanship – making each bowl completely unique.
Size
Height: approx. 8.5 cm
Diameter: approx. 18 cm
Maintenance
The ceramics are made of stoneware and fired at a high temperature, which makes them solid and suitable for daily use.
They are both dishwasher and microwave safe.
As with all handmade ceramic products, it is still recommended to treat them with general care, so that they can be used and last for many years.
Design
All my products are handmade in small batches on the potter's wheel.
I work intuitively with form, surfaces, and glazes, allowing the process to be a visible part of the expression. Therefore, each cup will have slight differences in color, texture, and shape.
These variations are not flaws – they are traces of the craftsmanship and make each product unique.
